We RC hobbyist who use LIPO batteries usually
see the need of a lipo alarm
- It prevents over discharge the precious lipo
- It helps us to know if we are abusing the lipo battery
- It also tells us when to land to prevent ESC cut off
when flying
- Can help you to compare battery performance with some
other packs you already know
I have different "LiGlow Kits" kit just for that purpose.
|
Features:
- Ease of installation
- No need for you to fuss with calculating LED resistor
values. It's already done for you in the standard kits.
- Light weight (1.1 grams to 7 grams)
- V2.5 with beeper weights 9.9 grams with 93db LOUD beeper
- Visual and audible alarms are easy to notice if
installed properly
- Alarm voltage is tested before shipped
|
| One question I keep being asked is: "how much
flight time would I loose having the light kit installed?". I
have to assure you that these lights are LED's lights. There is
no other lights that use less power than these. They don't wear
out. Their power consumption is very little compared to the
power drawn by your heli / plane. Last time I calculated with a
Trex and a 2100mah battery pack, a V2 with landing light ON the
entire flying time (assumed 10 minutes), would take about 6
seconds out of your flying time. So, you can be happy with the
lights and not worried about its power consumption. :) |
| 1. V1: usually used for basic strobe lighting and
lipo alarm. This option has 4 strobes and 2 nav lights.
This option is good for scale lights, for small
plane/helicopter that flies in door or not at noon time
outdoor. It costs $28 plus shipping for partially built
kits, or $33 plus shipping for a complete built one.
|

V1 fully built |

V1 partially built V1 |
| 2. V2: offers features like strobes and lipo alarm,
and a landing light option. It can be also used with
many leds or high power leds to make complex lighting
system. This option has 3 strobe outputs, 1 10mm high
power landing light (which will also strobe if you want
to), and 2 nav lights. The strobe and landing light
output can be wired to many leds. This option is good
for scale lights for lipo alarm. This can be used with
high power LED or many lED so its alarm is visible
during mid day. It costs $37 for partially built kit or
$47 for a complete built one. |

Fully built V2 light kit |

Partially built V2 |
| 3. V2.5: only a LOUD beeper and 2 basic strobes.
This option is for people who wants to fly in the middle
of the day when the lights are hard to see and don't
want lots of wires. This one costs $35. |

V2.5 lipoalarm + beeper |

V2.5 lipoalarm + small beeper |
| 4. V2.5L (V2.5 plus landing light): a LOUD beeper, 1
high power landing light, and 1 basic strobe. This
option is for people who wants to fly in the middle of
the day when the lights are hard to see and don't want
lots of wires. This one costs $41. |

Fully built V2.5 LiGlowBeep & landing light |
| 5. V2 plus beeper. It has 2 nav lights, 1 10mm high
power landing light, 2 strobes, and one loud beeper.
This option costs $51 plus shipping for the complete
built. The strobe and landing light output of this one
can also be wired to many leds if you want to do so.

6. V1T: a tiny V1 that weights around 1.1g
completely built. It has a single strobe on board. This
strobe is also functioning like a lipo alarm. The pattern of the strobe is 3 short flashes following by about a second off, then 3 short flashes again.
Another option of choice is available: the LED stays off all the time and only flashes quickly when the alarm is going off.
Please do specify the color of your choice when you order. Available color: red/green/white/blue. Green is probably most visible color.
The cost
for this option is $21 plus shipping. |

Tiny V1 |
7. V2BP: V2 plus beeper - plug version. For someone
who prefer quick connect of lights and easy to add more
lights.
It costs $52 plus shipping in kit form. The kit will
come with a complete built board (shown in picture,)
with 5 mated plugs, 5 LEDs with resistors presoldered (1
of the LED is a high power one,) a large 93db beeper,
heat shrinks, and wires. This kit is shipped like this (battery and coin are not included:)). This kit is designed for large plane or large helicopter since the plugs make the foot print much larger compared to the V2 kit |

V2BP |
 |
| 8. Barebone V2: Can be programmed with either V2 or V2BP firmware. Add your own LEDs and resistors. each pair of pins are .1" spacing. Can be used with a servo connector for plug. Cost: $28 with no lipo alarm (use receiver voltage), or $30 with lipo alarm (use battery voltage - up to 20v) - picture shown with 4 kits |

V2 barebone |
| 9. V5 - name not yet finalized: Can be programmed with either V2 style program which has 10 strobes and a landing light or with a police light set up (2 head light, 2 tail light, and 7 strobes). Add your own LEDs and resistors. Pins are .1" spacing. Can be used with many standard connectors. Cost: $40 if use with receiver voltage, or $42 with if use battery voltage (up to 20v) |

V5 bare bonee |
10. V1-1S: A LiGlow (strobe + lipo alarm) kit for helicopter or plane which uses 1 LIPO cell (Walkera 4#3 or 5#6 helis for instant.) It comes with 2 navigation lights and 3 strobes (using SMD LEDs.) Weight around 1.8g. Average current draw: 25mA at 4.2v; 18mA at 3.6v (with 2 nav lights and running strobes - only one out of 3 strobe is lit at a time); 26mA at alarm (3.21v - all leds are lit at the same time). Price: US$36 completed. |

Partially built kit has all the circuitry & wires soldered. You
only need to solder the supplied LED's with the wires coming out
from the circuitry. If you don't order an optional battery
adapter (cost extra), you will also need to parallelly connect
the two power wires of the light kits with your battery
connector wires. |

If you are interested, you can send me fund
via PAYPAL with a detail instruction on what you need, what battery, heli, etc. to
. Please don't put note like "as disccused..." in the paypal instruction since I tend to have a few orders of people with similar names or similar needs. You can also
send me a private message on rcgroups.
